About Ignite Reading
Ignite Reading provides daily 15-minute one-to-one virtual tutoring to help K-2 students (and older striving readers) close foundational reading gaps. Each student is paired with a dedicated, expert tutor who delivers explicit, systematic instruction grounded in the science of reading — phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, and fluency. Sessions happen during the school day over a secure video connection that runs on a student device, and tutors follow a structured, diagnostic-driven scope and sequence personalised to each learner. Independent results show ~2.4 weeks of reading growth per week of tutoring on average, with strong outcomes for multilingual learners and students with dyslexia. Schools and districts contract for cohorts of students and receive ongoing progress reporting; the model is designed to integrate with classroom Tier 1 instruction rather than replace it.
