Bloom is a personalized learning platform combining adaptive reading, AI-powered tutoring, and skill-building exercises to meet each student exactly where they are and accelerate their growth. The platform assesses incoming reading level, comprehension ability, and academic confidence through a brief diagnostic, then generates a personalized learning path that adjusts in real time as the student progresses. Reading content is drawn from a curated library of leveled texts spanning fiction, non-fiction, biography, and STEM topics, all tagged to Lexile levels and aligned to Common Core and state standards. After each reading, Bloom's AI tutor engages the student in a Socratic dialogue — asking questions, probing for understanding, and providing hints without simply giving away answers — closely replicating the experience of a skilled human reading tutor. Students earn growth badges as they advance Lexile levels and complete skill milestones, providing motivation without extrinsic grade pressure. Teachers receive weekly progress reports showing each student's reading level trajectory, time on task, and specific skill areas of strength and weakness. School-wide dashboards allow literacy coaches to identify students most in need of pull-out intervention.
